Let it snow, let is snow, let is snow!

What a jolly song to get you in the festive mood!

Wow, it seems like it was an age since I last posted. Things have been pretty busy, decorations, Christmas cards e.t.c I’m really looking forward to the time off school now and Christmas day! Especially all the food!

Some jazz musicians are coming into our school in January and I’ve been invited to a workshop with them! I’ll update you more with this as it happens.

Also, the MechScape World Scavenger Hunt is in it’s final stages! We’re pretty much finished writing it, just go to decide a date! Don’t worry, it’ll be this month and definitely before Stellar Dawn comes out! :D

That’s all for now. I hope I can get a few more posts in before Christmas and the new year, but if I don’t, HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

The future of MechScape World

Ok below is an article I’ve been working on for the new MSW blog. It’s fairly short, but hopefully enjoyable to read!

Our dear MechScape World. What do we hope to achieve with it? What are our hopes for the future? In this article I’m going to be talking about the future of MechScape World.

From humble beginnings back in (insert start date), MSW has grown from strength to strength. We’ve also been part of Jagex’s new stance with fan sites. From phone calls, concept art, Q&A’s and exclusive in game music tracks released to us. I say that’s pretty lucky. But lets not get too excited yet, the hard work is still to come. All those guides, calculators and tools for those players. So I suppose that’s goal 1? The aim to strive and provide the best guides for players.

A great site is not everything. We need a great community for players to trade, find clans, post tips and ask questions. Again, you may think pretty obvious and easy to execute, but there definitely is a fine art to running a community. So what does make a forum great? Awesome people and staff. Lets face it, that’s what we are all here for, to talk to people! So maintaing a nice atmosphere between members is crucial if we want to provide that community feel. Management. You need passionate leaders that care about the site, want to take it forward. So aim 2, a community that cares.

Last but not least…. Fun. If you don’t enjoy being on the site and forums, something is wrong. May seem rather strange to say this, but people won’t be using the site if it’s not enjoyable.

So that’s my attempt at writing a little something. I wouldn’t really call it a plan, more of a guide to success. Hopefully you enjoyed reading this, here’s to MechScape World and a bright future!

MechScape World Blog

First off, my concert did go very well, thanks for asking!

Ok, So you may have heard I’ve been working on a blog/community newspaper type thing with TechnoBulldog. Well it’s pretty much finished, we’ve just got to check a few things with Laura and wham, it’ll be posted!I must say though I’m merely helping out and thanks should go to TechnoBulldog for most of the work.

Also installing service pack 3 for my XP laptop at the moment, but this isn’t so exciting!

I’ll be back soon, hopefully with some more news about the blog and more stuff to talk about.

See you soon!
